ABOUT ME

Nice to meet you

My name is Brandon Ramirez, and I am alumnus of Sachse High School (’18) and the Univeristy of San Francisco (’22). I graduated with a a B.A. in Psychology, Minored in Neuroscience and Health Studies, and had the opportunity to be a part of the Honors College and Saint Ignatius Institute.

I was pursuing my PsyD (Doctorate) in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University in Seattle. I was initially looking to work with juveniles in the forensic system and them developed an interest for neuropsychology and neurodiversity work.

Unfortuantely in 2024 I took a break from the PsyD to recover from an accident, and am now focused on going back to school to pursue an OTD (Doctorate) in Occupational Therapy. Having been diagnosed with AuDHD I want to work with students in school based occupational therapy.

I have a long way to go on my journey, but I do wish to share my next step with all the amazing individuals who have inspired me to do what I do every day. Thank you so much for all the support!

The OTDream Vlog

I wanted to create this page to alk about my experience while in OT school and as I shift from one doctorate to another, the challenges that I will face and grow from.

It’s a dream that came from my life experiences telling me that I am needed elsewhere. I have decided to try out this new opportunity and see where it takes me.

Sincerely,

Future Dr. Brandon Ramirez

The PsyDream Vlog

While my first goal was being a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Covid-19 taught me that I was needed in the world of psychology and I decided to pursue a PsyD.

While this dream will not be fully realized, the skills and knowledge I have acquired will be beneficial towards my work with kids who are facing developmental challenges in their occupation which consists of playing and being a student.

I still have the opportunity to make changes in the system and work in other fields where people are facing neurocognitive challenges from their medical health.

Dreams change as we sleep, and it’s time to wake up with a new one.

Sincerely,

Brandon Ramirez
