Four More to Go

Welcome to my monthly updates! I hope you can learn a little bit more about the work that I am doing while I study at Antioch University Seattle.

“So many books, so little time.”

Next Steps:
August is over and September is already cruising along.

Personal Life:
It is finally time to ride the train! I’ve been waiting for months to try it out but I am taking the Amtrak and going to Canada for my last school break! And by last school break, I literally mean last school break. Every future break I have, although I won’t have to go to class for 2-3 weeks, I will still have to see clients at the clinic or wherever I am interning. So I’m going to enjoy this break while I can!

Side note, after 3.5 years I finally ended up getting this new covid strain, so yay me… Guess it was about time. Thankfully, I only had a sore throat and a cough as my main symptoms, with a fever day one and two. But I am all better now and excited for the fall weather, since it finally started to rain after months of fun heat waves.

Without further ado, let’s hear about some of the other things going on in my life.

Antioch University Seattle:
Can you believe that I already finished my first year and am getting ready to start my 2nd year in two weeks?! This quarter was so much easier than I was expecting it to be, which isn’t great since I know things are going to start getting harder.

I invited my 2nd committee member for my dissertation committee! She currently has a spot on hold for me and wants to make sure that the topic question I have is something that she feels she can adequately contribute to and strengthen, rather than just be one of my committee members. So I’ll be thinking about my research question soon and hopefully, then I can move on to get my third member.

I recently had the opportunity to release my research survey and will be sending it out again on social media. I will try to send it out to you soon, so you can share it with other people for my study.

I recently applied to the fellowship program for the PsyD program, so I am hoping to hear back soon to see if I got one of the positions. If not, well then there is always room to try again next year.

Special Projects:

San Tiego Photos –  New pictures have been posted!

BachStreetBoi
– I decided to stop streaming on Kick and will return to it the future when the functionality of the website works better with the software that I use.

AnxieTea Podcast – Podcast is still delayed.

Instructions Unclear – Delayed till post-grad.

The PsyDream Vlog – 1st Episode will be released soon.

Cycologist – I may end up canceling this project, as I find myself a little too busy sometimes to record or deliver food.

Thank you for your time, dedication, and service! You can always reach out to me @ bran.m.ramirez@gmail.com
